From then on, it was no stopping her. In 2009 she enrolled in the renowned Pets Beautiful Grooming School based in London, Ontario, passing with distinction. Since then she has been honing her skills & serving the “Canadian” market in a popular pet grooming salon which has been established for 8 years in the Markham area.

Besides that, she has also taken an All Breed grooming course in Dog Care Grooming Academy, Singapore, 2002 and Harcourt Learning Direct, San Diego, US, 2001, graduating with Diploma in Pet Grooming in the latter. These are all in line with her spirit of never ending learning & always improving herself.

Besides enjoying grooming, Kawai has always been an avid self taught dog trainer motivating her to enroll with the Animal Behavior College, Santa Clarita, California, graduating to become a Certified Dog Trainer, 2011.

Her motto is not only to make a dog “looks good” but “feels good” too. Throughout her career as a pet groomer, Kawai has observed that owners take pains and are always worried when they leave their little “furbies” at a grooming place. And therefore in 2014, Kawai has come up with the solution to convert her grooming experience into a Mobile Pet Salon. She wants pet owners to finally have the assurance & peace of mind of having their pets groomed in a safe & stress free environment, one on one, close to home. She decided to convert her favourite Dodge Sprinter van into a modern grooming salon. Check out the pictures in the Gallery section!

Your Groomer

Kawai Tan has been a groomer for 13 years now. It started as a childhood passion. Kawai was always an avid animal lover. Having pets right from the age of 5. Among them were hamsters, rabbits, birds, fish & turtles. But it was the dog that inspires her like many others right until today. Coupled with with her creative side, at first it was grooming her own pet Spitz named “Lamb”. Then it went on to her toy poodles “PomPom & Noodles”. But it was “Smokey” the Lhasa Tibetian Terrier that really made her launch her grooming career. It was also at a time when she was at a crossroad in her 7 years corporate career which only serve to enrich her experience in serving many facets of the community & dealing with the business world. Smokey was the sweetest, gentlest, fluffy dog that would sit for hours while she shaped him into a live “teddy bear” to the ooohs & aaaahs of passers-by & neighbours.
